The second someone tells me they want it and they want it now, little alarm bells go off in my brain because these are my people and I know I can help them get to where they want to go more quickly and with greater patience. You see, there's a dichotomy here. We can 100% accelerate results. We can get you winning every single day, and patience is required to win consistently over long periods of time. But today is about attracting what you want and doing it quickly, wanting it now or at least more expeditiously than your current situation.Read More

I found a statistic to prove the efficacy, hear me going back to my research days? To prove the efficacy of the CEO debriefs, and I wanted to share it. It was a study done and this woman who did this study, I believe it was a woman, her last name is Matthews. And it says that she found that more than 70% of the participants who send weekly updates to a friend reported successful goal achievement, completely accomplish their goal. Or were more than halfway there compared to 35% of those who kept their goals to themselves without writing them down.Read More
As I watched Game of Thrones last few episodes I thought that it was an episode that really got me thinking about the leadership of these characters, and I started posting on my Facebook page some leadership and performance type of thoughts that I was having regarding these characters, and it got a lot of attention. It got Cory's attention, and Cory chimed in, and he's like, "You know, we should do a podcast on this." And then lots of people were like, "Yeah, you should do a podcast on it." So then I asked Cory to come and be my guest host on this podcast, and so he's here, and what I'm really excited about having Cory on for is because one, he's a really, super smart dude, and he is also a fiction writer, and he's an artist, and he coaches artists, and he really kind of gets into characters and character development, and he just asks really wise questions.Read More
I believe that leaders have this ability to feel their fear the most, because we're the ones leaning in to our growth edge. We're the ones who are actually going digging for fear. We are mining for opportunities to challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zone, and when we do that, we come face to face with our fear and our resistance, and all the crap that stands in our way from moving forward. So today I wanted to have a conversation around fear to try and normalize it because it happens to all of us, it happens every day, especially when we are challenging ourselves.Read More

When I picked founding members, I tried to pick women who represent very different industries, very different walks of life, to have a diversity there so that other women when they look at The BRAVE Society can see themselves in someone there. Because what was shocking to me that I realized much later on, is that while I very much felt innately called to leadership, not all women do. And so, over the years, it's become apparent to me how important it is for women to have a picture of someone, a story of someone that they can relate to who has stood up and raised their hand and said, "Yeah, I see myself as a leader, I'm a leader." And Sara is that person for so many women.Read More

In a conversation I had with someone through Instagram DM, we were talking about her best investments in her business and the ones that didn't land quite right for her. One of the areas she had less success with were programs that were solely group-based. I totally understand this. I really do. A lot of my group-based programs have a tremendous amount of high-touch individual attention for this reason.
She mentioned, I'm gonna quote her. She talks about, “the lie that you can learn from what other people are going through, which seems to be a justification for most group programs.” This is what I really want to address. The fact that marketers are selling people on group programs saying that they can learn, you can learn from each other, and that this isn't always proving out.Read More
